Baffin Island

The largest Island in Canada is Baffin Island. Its area is 507,451 km² (195,928 square miles).
Baffin Island is part of the territory of Nanavut. It is the fifth biggest island on Earth. The four islands larger than Baffin Island are:
Greendland 2,130,800 km²
New Guinea 785,753 km²
Borneo 748,168 km²
Madagascar 587,713 km²
Australia (7,617,930 km²) is much larger than any of the islands above, but Australia is classified as a continent, not an island.
Only two US states are bigger than Baffin Island – Alaska and Texas.

Baffin Island is more than double the size of the UK and is slightly smaller than France.
Four Canadian provinces are smaller than Baffin Island; these are Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
